I see teaching and mentoring as a way of being a witness to people’s lives as they are becoming who they will be for the rest of their lives. My work is built on the belief that learning is most powerful when you can see a real, noticeable change in yourself. I’m not here to just give you information; I’m here to help you connect the strengths you already have to the new goals you’re reaching for.
My background is a mix of studying curriculum design, intercultural competency, and counseling while practicing active listening in real-time with students. Whether I’m helping an English Language Learner prepare for a bank visit, supporting a college student with time management, or visiting with a senior, I focus on making the work feel purposeful. I provide the structure and the questions, but you remain the master of your own life and the agent of your own growth.
I focus on the 'how' of building practical skills and intentional habits to help you navigate your world with clarity.
I provide a real-time, adaptive partnership. I can pivot when your day gets complicated or hold the line when you need accountability.
You are the expert on your own life. I am here to ask the right questions and help you decide your own next steps.
Our time together is a shared dialogue. I bring my experience to the table to help you become who you want to be.
Impactful breakthroughs come from a breadth of perspective.
My approach is backed by two decades of professional guidance and advanced academic training, including a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction (TESOL) and a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) in Christian Ministries.
My path has been as diverse as the clients I serve. I have been a fast-food cashier in a small town, a women’s minister on a college campus, an administrative assistant for international disaster relief, and a visa specialist within a major university. These experiences taught me that every story is unique and that no task is too small to deserve my full attention. I bring that same grounded perspective to my mentoring, driven by a genuine love for discovering what brings my clients joy.
From designing university-level curricula for Time Management and Executive Functioning to teaching Professional English to international scholars and business leaders in Japan and the United States, I have spent thousands of hours refining the art of the one-on-one breakthrough.
Advanced Academic Grounding: My M.Ed. (2026) provides a modern, research-based framework for neurodiversity and language acquisition, while my M.Div. (2012) informs my calm, grounding approach to mentoring and ethics.
20 Years of Global Experience: From the classroom to the boardroom, I have taught and mentored in diverse settings, including Japan (Asahikawa Eikaiwa) and two U.S. universities.
University-Level Strategy: As a Mentor Program Assistant Director and an Adjunct Professor, I have designed systems that help students and professionals overcome procrastination, decision fatigue, and organizational hurdles.
Specialized Communication: Beyond grammar, I have advised international scholars and Fulbright TEA Fellows on the cultural nuances of persuasive speaking and executive presence.
